What about us?
I have been thinking about my own struggles lately with my addition to cigarettes, which led me to question my worthiness of God’s divine love and grace. It’s said that our bodies are the ‘living temple of God’. I’ve been smoking since I was 16 and have tried quitting many, many, many times. I’m trying to quit again. So far I’ve gone from 12 cigarettes a day to 7. So far so good! I use a free app that keeps track of when I smoke and sets a schedule based on how many per day I want to smoke. I decrease the number when I know I am ready to cut it down by one more.
I felt I was letting him down, sinning with my addiction and fall short, like the other 37.5 million adults who smoke cigarettes. (ref: CDC.gov) I am a Spirit living a Human Existence to grow and learn here on “earth school” and this is a hurtle I must overcome.
The good news? Jesus know’s I am trying, he knows what’s in my heart and of my struggle. Jesus say’s that all sins can be forgiven, (except for one unpardonable sin). He know’s this of you too.
So my brothers and sisters in Christ, keep learning and growing spiritually, keep moving forward, loving and keeping your Faith in Christ.

Prayer for the forgiveness of sins
Take a moment to bring to mind the ways that you may have failed God or others, such as in lying, temper, lust, jealousy etc. and then meditate on the words below:-
Lord, I'm in that place again
On my knees Laying my life out before You
Thank you that on the cross you cried "It is finished"
You have done it Forgiveness is complete I can live forever in Your grace
Forever in Your love
So I ask now for Your forgiveness
For the wrongs that I have done
And the things that I have neglected I ask for: Your forgiveness
For the people I have hurt along the way
And those who I have failed to love as You love
I ask for Your forgiveness
I receive Your forgiveness, and resolve in my heart
That with Your strength I determine not to make these errors again
I receive Your forgiveness
And by the power of Your Holy Spirit I walk away from everything I know to be wrong, and embrace everything I know about You
For the kingdom, the power and the glory Are always and forever Yours
