Spirit of God or Demon? Testing Spirits When You Receive a Vision

I don’t know about you, but doesn’t it seem the past year has an increase of visions and conversations about the Rapture, the Tribulation, and Christ? The thing is, none of the video loggers confirmed if they tested the spirit or not when they share their conversations with the spiritual being. Are they testing them or taking it on blind faith and hope?

Let me remind you that a spirit of the Antichrist is very good at deceiving us. It can project false feelings of love and comfort therefore leading us to believe they are from God. If you receive a spiritual visitor, protect yourself as John instructs us to do.

The bible is God breathed and essentially an instruction manual for living and walking in love with Christ.

What does the bible say about testing a spirit?

In the first Epistle of John, he is enjoying a delightful fellowship with that God of Light, love, and life, and he desperately desires that his spiritual children (us) enjoy the same fellowship.

In Chapter 4 versus 1 – 6 he instructs us what to do

Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are of God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. By this you know the Spirit of God. Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God and every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming and even is now already in the world.

You are from God, little children, and have overcome them, because HE who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. They are from the world, therefore speak as of the world, and the world hears them.

We are of God. He who knows God hears us; he who is not of God does not hear us. By this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error.

1 John 4 1:6

What two things must we ask a spirit to test them?

  1. Ask the spirit who his Lord and Master is. The spirit better say his Lord and Master is Jesus Christ. If the spirit cannot confess that Jesus Christ is his Lord and Master – then he is not an angel from God.
  2. I would then tell her to ask the spirit to confess to her that Jesus Christ has come to our earth in the flesh. If this spirit cannot make this specific confession to her – then this spirit is definitely not from God!

If you ever find yourself having a conversation with a spiritual being, arm your self with knowledge and test them. If they truly are from God, you will not be offending them.
