Hello my brothers and sisters in Christ. I’m blogging off the beaten path today to bring you something which may interest you.
Have you ever visited the official King James Official bible website? It turns out there is a treasure trove of interesting tidbits. I visited the site to read some versus and became curious about the ‘more’ menu options. To my surprise, this website has plenty and varied resources from Bible Study, Comments, Commentaries, Images, History and more. Of course this captured my attention and the initial reason for my visit vanished.
I prefer the The King James version because it’s considered to be the most accurate, faithful translation of God.. The first printing has received several editions, but no revisions. (With the exception of spelling errors and textual changes from archaic English.
For Folks like Me Who are Curious about the 1st King James Bible Printed….

If you follow my above breadcrumbs and clicked on the ‘more’ option of this website, your find that the 1611 bible is available online here. It even includes books which were originally printed in the 1611 version (image on the left). These are called apocrypha. There are fifteen entries total.
I opened Bel and the Dragon to read it and instantly found the spelling errors. Not bad for what was available for it’s time. Despite that, it was an easy read about Daniel.

Other Interesting Tidbits From the Site
More than pretty pictures of the KJV from times past, this website offers other interesting stuff. If the below items don’t spark your curiosity, visit the website and share in the comments section what peaked your interest.
Scientific Proof of the Bible
Credit: John N. Clayton
The Bible is estimated to have been written between 1450 B.C. and 95 A.D. This chart shows scientific facts and principles referred to in this ancient Bible, but not actually discovered by humankind until later centuries. Dead sea scrolls, historical documentation, and other sources all confirm the authenticity of the Bible. Since people had no official knowledge of these scientific facts until more than a thousand years after the Bible was written, is this scientific proof that the Bible was inspired by God?

This is a computer visualization of all 340,000 cross-references found in the Bible. Among the Bible’s 66 books, it references its other books and verses 340,000 times. Since the Bible was written by a variety of authors from different regions, occupations, and in different time periods (it was written in a span of 1,500 years), some interpret the Bible’s interconnectedness as another testament to it being divinely inspired.

Believe, Repent, Confess, Accept Jesus as Lord and Savior
To be saved, we must believe that Jesus is Lord and believe that He died for our sins. This confession acknowledges before God that we are unable to attain righteousness on our own and that we accept His plan for our lives.
- “…Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved…” Acts 16:31
- “Yet to all who receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.” John 1:12
